Bundle of Joy: The Costs of Adoption vs. Surrogacy

From Brangelina's burgeoning adopted brood to Giuliana Rancic's baby mama, the glitterati have made alternative ways of bringing home baby look easy. But it's only easier if you have those box-office millions in your bank account.
The reality, of course, is more complicated and expensive. Hopeful couples discover that adoption or gestational surrogacy costs from tens of thousands of dollars to more than $100,000. (And that's on top of the thousands of dollars many have already shelled out on fertility treatments, to say nothing about the emotional toll.)
Financing options are available -- from grants to loans to companies willing to foot part of the bill -- but these are few and far between and usually don't make up the entire cost of adding a child to a family.
Here is a breakdown of the costs of surrogacy and adoption while explaining the financing that might be available for those couples who have difficulty having their own children naturally.

Surrogacy in Thailand is for Same sex and single.

Welcome Future families, we are glad you are considering Weecare surrogacy as you explore options to expand your family. Weecare and our partners have a long and proud tradition of working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and single parent in their quest to become parent, and every year our numbers grow stronger. We have met the reproductive needs of our clients with compassionate, patient-care. Our mission is to ensure each client is comfortable and confident throughout their surrogacy journey.
As a gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender or single parent individual, you experience the same concerns as those in any other relationship. You wonder what the future holds and whether you will be able to fulfill your wish to have children and accomplish your dreams of building a family.
This can be overwhelming, but in today's age it is easier than ever for both you and your partner to experience a pregnancy and become parents -- as opportunities for couples or single to start a family are unprecedented.
At Weecare, along with experts in childhood development, agree that a loving and supportive family is the most important ingredient when it comes to good parenting. Research has demonstrated that sexual orientation; gender identity or expression does not affect a person’s ability to parent.
WeeCare Partners for Thailand Surrogacy also believes everyone has the right to experience the love of a child and the joy of becoming a parent, and does not discriminate against age, race, marital status, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. Without a doubt, though it is thrilling and ultimately fulfilling, even thinking about the process of surrogacy can be overwhelming. This is where we can help.
Egg Donors for Same Sex Couples
Donor Egg is a very successful option for building a family because it has higher success rates than IVF cycles using a woman’s own eggs. The primary reason is that the eggs are collected from young donors who are carefully screened to assure safe and successful treatement. For gay men, family building through IVF requires the use of an egg donor and a gestational surrogate. Building a family via Donor Egg allows for strong biological and developmental relationships -- as donor eggs are fertilized with the male partner’s sperm, matured to an early embryonic stage and then placed in the surrogate mother uterus, providing her the same gestational experience as natural conception.

Should commercial surrogacy be made legal in Britain?

As far as gifts go, it’s a pretty special one. A baby.
More and more heterosexual and same-sex couples in Britain are turning to surrogate mothers to help them have a family.
This month, singer Sir Elton John and his civil partner, film producer David Furnish, welcomed their second son into the world.
Both children were born to the same surrogate mother through an agency in California, where commercial surrogacy is legal and surrogates can be paid.
While surrogacy is legal in Britain, it is a criminal offence to pay a surrogate mother more than ‘reasonable expenses’ and it is also illegal to advertise that you are seeking a surrogate mother or willing to act as one.

Gay surrogacy ban 'breaches rights'

BANNING gay couples from accessing surrogacy services in Queensland breaches universal human rights provisions, a lawyer says.
The Queensland government plans to make it illegal for gay couples and single people to use surrogates to have children in a move backed by Christian and conservative groups.
However surrogacy specialist Stephen Page of Harrington Family Lawyers told ABC Radio the changes would breach the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the federal Sex Discrimination Act.
"If anything, these children are going to be cherished," he said.
"They're going to be loved and the people that I've seen who've had their children through surrogacy, they love their kids to bits and it makes no difference about whether they're a couple or they're single, it makes no difference about their sexuality.
